Gary M. Verigin, DDS, CTN

Dr. Verigin received his DDS from the University of Washington in 1965 and has practiced dentistry in Escalon, California ever since. Through the years, he has come to be known as one of the premier biological dentists in the United States, treating clients from all corners of the nation. Acting upon the creed of Dr. G.V. Black, the Father of Operative and Restorative Dentistry, Dr. Verigin has been a lifelong student of the dental and wellness arts. In the early 1980s, he was inspired by the work of German researchers who were then integrating medical and dental practices. As a result of his study and continued research, in 1985, he and Dr. Ed Arana co-founded the American Academy of Biological Dentistry to help bring the new German knowledge to American practice. (The organization continues today as the International Academy of Biological Dentistry and Medicine.) Dr. Verigin is also a member of the International Academy of Oral Medicine and Toxicology and the Holistic Dental Association. In 2005, the American Naturopathic Certification Board recognized him as a Certifed Traditional Naturopath.

JoAnne Boettcher-Verigin

JoAnne has worked in her husband’s practice from the start, mostly handling the business aspects. In the late 1960s, when she and Dr. Verigin began to learn of the benefits of using Myofunctional Therapy (MT) in conjunction with orthodontics, JoAnne began studying the modality. She trained regularly at the Institute for Myofunctional Therapy in Coral Gables, Florida and was named its 1974 Therapist of the Year. She also helped start the Pacific Coast Study Club - a group devoted to sharing information and instruction in MT. In 1978, she took a short break from this full time work to enter a founding partnership in a local travel agency. Even then, she continued to do all the bookkeeping for the practice. In 1980, she sold her half of the now thriving business and returned to part time work at the office. Once the last of her five children had grown, she resumed her full time position as Office Manager and Myofunctional Therapist.

Stephanie Caetano

Stephanie is a Registered Dental Assistant (RDA) and the newest member of our dental health team, having joined the practice in May 2008. A native of Riverbank, CA, she finished her training as a Certified Dental Assistant at Modesto Junior College in 1994 and qualified as an RDA in 1997. Since then, she has worked in several different dental practices and gained experience in all aspects of practice life. She is excited to be now working alongside Dr. Verigin and most admires his practice’s concern for the client as a whole.

Jill Kramer

Jill has assisted JoAnne in running the front office since 1999. Graduating from Galen Medical College as a Certified Medical Assistant in 1992, she worked for the county and a few private practices before taking a year off. Unable to understand how poorly people are treated by many practitioners, Jill was excited to find Dr. Verigin’s practice an exception to the rule and eagerly joined his Dental Health Team. The proud mother of two, Jill also assists Millie in our lab and maintaining the exam/treatment rooms.
